HiPath DX and iSDX

(previously known as Realitis DX and iSDX) offers
a rich feature set, open interfaces and gateways
to work seamlessly across circuit switched
and data network infrastructures.

The HiPath family of IP communication servers can provide a platform to suit every organisation, from large to small without compromise of features or applications. HiPath platforms provide secure, reliable communication systems and are ideal for both packet-switched (LAN/WAN) and line-switched (ISDN) environments, or a mixture of the two. This guarantees gradual migration on both the network side and user side.

The flexibility of HiPath platform is especially obvious in mixed infrastructures where Voice over IP is installed but traditional analog and digital telephones, fax machines, and modems are still in use. HiPath platforms support any combination of IP, analog, and digital telephones, as well as PC clients and cordless phones.

The iSDX range of voice platforms has evolved over many years, and continues to provide new and innovative networking and personal productivity features, while protecting the investment customers have already made. Siemens has always enforced the policy of Evolution, there-by allowing customers easy access to new features without the need for wholesale swap out of their existing assets. New systems are fully backward-compatible with iSDX features and functionality and can easily be added into any existing Realitis or iSDX network.

HiPath DX and DXR are the latest evolution of iSDX. They bring many of Siemens' global IP developments to the DX. HiPath DX can deliver up to 4000 extensions, 1,900 digital trunks, 1,000 analogue trunks with a maximum 12 modules in a single node. HiPath DXR, available in rack-mounted or free-standing versions, now supports up to 800 IP extension users, 300 digital trunks and 24 operators.

The HiPath DX portfolio of products provides the following converged solutions:

  • IP Gateways supporting all of the DX voice features in IP-based networks;
  • PC Client applications supporting all of the DX telephony features;
  • Wide-area networking of DX systems over IP-based data networks;
